Job summary

MAGMA is seeking a Steel Application Engineer for our U.S. team to leverage MAGMASOFT software for steel customer insights and project leadership. You will train and support customers, collaborate on sales opportunities, and present technical materials at meetings and conferences.

The role requires 3–6 years in steel casting, strong communication, and willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally. Located in the Kentucky region with full benefits and competitive salary.

Now we are looking for a Steel Application Engineer to join our U.S. team and help us continue advancing the future of metalcasting.

Salary Range $80,000 - $95,000

Your Role & Responsibilities:

• Use MAGMASOFT ® software daily to deliver insights and solutions to Steel customers.
• Cross trained in areas related to investment casting and cast iron sand casting.
• Grow and support our customer base through technical expertise and sales activities.
• Collaborate with Application Managers on new sales opportunities.
• Create and confidentially present technical materials for internal meetings, customer presentations, training sessions, industry conferences, and reports. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who is comfortable with public speaking and effectively presents technical information to a variety of audiences.
• Lead and support engineering projects and educational workshops.
• Act as a technical spokesperson in marketing videos for social media, clearly communicating engineering concepts and product knowledge to customers and industry professionals.
• Travel to customer sites domestically and internationally as needed (up to 25% travel).

What You Will Bring to the Team:

• Results-Driven Mindset: You are a self-starter with a passion for the metalcasting industry and a drive to make a difference.
• Technical Expertise: 3-6 years of experience in the steel casting world (sand or investment casting), whether in process engineering, quality engineering, pattern design or other related technical areas. Technical sales experience in the metal casting industry is a plus.
• Confident Communicator: You enjoy engaging with people from engineers to executives and have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Versatility & Adaptability: You are comfortable switching between sales, engineering projects, technical support, and educational services.
• Independent & Collaborative: You thrive both in team settings and when working independently to deliver results.
