Job summary

EPS Group Inc. in Mesa, AZ, seeks an Engineer in Training to join our land development team. You will work directly with Professional Engineers to design grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway systems, transforming raw land into vibrant, functional communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/Environmental engineering or related field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred.
• 3+ years of experience preparing engineering construction plans for land development.

Responsibilities

• Generate technical and non-technical redlines.
• Assist in scoping work and fees for proposals, WOAs, or change orders.
• Create and manage complex base design files.
• Perform engineering calculations and modeling for PE review.
• Perform QC on reports and models using checklists.
• Write and compile reports for PE review; assist with modeling.
• Prepare reports for PE final review.
• Prepare high-quality exhibits for client/public presentations.
• Prepare cost estimates with guidance.
• Prepare agendas and minutes; may lead client meetings.
• Present technical topics to clients and review agencies.
• Coordinate internal teams and subconsultants to meet timelines.
• Assist with RFIs.
• Assist hydraulic and hydrology calculations for drainage.
• Assist in preparing specifications.
• Complete timecards accurately and on time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Aim for 85-90% billable utilization.
