Job summary

EPS Group Inc. in Mesa, AZ is seeking an Engineer in Training to join our 100% employee-owned civil engineering team, working alongside PEs to design land development projects from small sites to masterplans.

You will gain hands‑on mentorship, contribute to redlines, calculations, reports, CAD/GIS exhibits, and client meetings, with clear pathways for growth and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience preparing engineering construction plans and reports for land development projects.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Understand municipal codes and ordinances.

Responsibilities

• Address complex technical redlines.
• Perform engineering calculations with minimal guidance.
• Prepare engineering reports with guidance.
• Produce base files for simple sites with oversight.
• Create complex exhibits may require CAD or GIS.
• Perform due diligence for complicated sites.
• Participate in client meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
• Utilize feature lines in Civil 3D.
• Prepare and coordinate submittals.
• Review and follow scope tasks.
• Understand budget and perform tasks within allotted time.
• Identify components for construction drawing plan sets.
• Complete timecards accurately and on time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
