Job summary

Yokogawa in Georgia is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to design, configure, test, and document DCS and batch automation applications, and to develop control strategies and batch logic. You will lead small projects, support startups, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of industrial automation or control systems experience.
• Experience with DCS platforms and process manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of ISA-88 batch automation principles.
• Experience with system testing, commissioning, and startup support.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, test, and document DCS and batch automation applications.
• Develop control strategies, sequences, interlocks, HMI displays, and batch logic.
• Participate in FATs, SATs, commissioning, startups, and customer training.
• Troubleshoot control system and integration issues.
• Lead small projects or major portions of larger automation projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and support technical knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers, and cross-functional teams.

• Knowledge of industrial networking, MES, historians, or manufacturing systems integration.
