Job summary

RTX in Andover, Massachusetts, is seeking interns, co‑ops and full‑time engineers to support test, validation and electronics development. You will help plan and execute manufacturing tests, develop automated test methods, and analyze data with cross‑functional teams.

Applicants should have a Master’s in STEM, strong electronics/RF knowledge, and be eligible for a DoD security clearance. This is an onsite role in the United States with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in STEM or closely related field.
  • Solid foundational understanding of electronics, embedded systems, and RF.
  • Experience using engineering test tools, measurement equipment, or automation techniques.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate test results clearly.
  • Experience with teamwork, communication, and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and execution of manufacturing test plans and validation procedures for new and existing products.
  • Assist in test setups, instrumentation configurations, and automated test methodologies to improve efficiency and coverage.
  • Operate advanced measurement instruments for power, digital, analog, RF tests as needed.
  • Analyze large data sets, extract insights, and summarize findings for cross‑functional teams.
  • Contribute to test automation frameworks using MatLab, LabView, or TestStand.
  • Support system‑level validation including stress testing and statistic evaluation.
  • Collaborate with Design/System Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Control, and Operations.
  • Participate in RCCA analysis and drive resolution with guidance from senior engineers.

What You Will Do
  • Support development and/or execution manufacturing test plans and validation procedures and/or activities for new and existing products.
  • Support development and/or implementation of test setups, instrumentation configurations, and automated test methodologies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and coverage.
  • Have intermediate to advanced knowledge of and skills to operate advanced measurement instruments used in power, digital, analog, communication and/or RF tests.
  • Analyze large or complex data sets, extract meaningful performance insights, and summarize findings for cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to test automation frameworks using MatLab, LabView, or TestStand.
  • Support system-level validation, including stress testing, limit analysis, and statistic evaluation.
  • Collaborate closely with Design/System Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Control, and Operations teams to provide early input on testability and product performance.
  • Participate in structured root-cause, corrective action (RCCA) analysis and drive resolution with guidance from senior engineers.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Master’s degree in STEM, Electrical Engineering preferrable.
  • Solid foundational understanding of electronics, embedded systems, and/or radio frequency (RF).
  • Experience using engineering test tools, measurement equipment, or automation techniques gained through academic research, labs, or internships.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate test results clearly.
  • Experience with teamwork, communication, and documentation.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Internship, co-op, or graduate research experience in testing, validation, automation, or product development.
  • Experience developing automated test methodologies or contributing to test infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools, machine learning techniques, or statistical methods.
  • Exposure to version control pipelines, or software development best practices.
  • Knowledge of reliability testing, compliance, or certification standards.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
