Job summary

RTX is seeking candidates for an onsite role at our Andover, MA facility to contribute to aerospace and defense projects. You will support testing, troubleshoot hardware, software and systems, and help drive performance across multidisciplinary teams. Ideal candidates hold a STEM bachelor's and can develop test plans, analyze data, and document results.

U.S. citizenship and an active security clearance or ability to obtain interim clearance are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained by start date.
  • Experience with generating technical documentation such as test plans or procedures.
  • Experience with troubleshooting technical issues in an academic or internship setting.

Responsibilities

  • Support testing effort: develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification in simulated and real-world environments.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze: identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed analysis and debugging.
  • Drive performance: collaborate to drive performance improvements and resolve system issues.
  • Modeling and analysis: use modeling and simulation tools to predict system performance and support verification and validation.
  • Integrate systems: integrate hardware and software into tactical systems in field test and hardware-in-the-loop environments.
  • Collaborate: work with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve seamless integration and system functionality.
  • Document and communicate: develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements, and communicate results to leadership.
  • Travel: up to 15% to support mission execution at various locations.

What You Will Do
  • Support testing effort: Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification in both simulated and real-world environments

  • Collaborate: Work with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve seamless integration and system functionality
  • Document and Communicate: Develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements, and effectively communicate results to leadership and stakeholders
  • Support Missions: Travel as needed (up to 15%) to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations occurring primarily during first shift and part time section shift hours.
  • This role is onsite at our RTX facility in Andover or Tewksbury, MA. Local travel between Raytheon locations in MA and Southern NH may also be required
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
  • Experience with generating technical documentation, such as test plans, procedures, or technical reports
  • Experience with troubleshooting technical issues in an academic or internship setting
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
  • Experience with radar systems, weapons systems, or command and control systems
  • Experience working in an integration lab, test facility, or in the field supporting integration and/or verification
  • Proficiency with commonly used test equipment, such as Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.
  • Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS or equivalent) and configuration control practices
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, JavaScript, C/C++ and/or other programming languages

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
