Job summary

Remington Hotels is seeking a hotel maintenance engineer to respond promptly to service calls and perform maintenance, repair and installation tasks across building systems. The role requires experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and related trades.

The candidate should be capable of reading blueprints, following safety and code requirements, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of work.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel engineering experience including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen and general building construction.
• Understand and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and boiler systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings and technical parts breakdown.

Responsibilities

• Respond to all service calls within half an hour of receipt.
• Diagnose defects and troubleshoot malfunctions; take corrective action for guest-related or high-priority issues.
• Follow departmental procedures to perform repair, maintenance, alteration and installation work.
• Comply with applicable codes and regulations at local, county, state and federal levels.
• Coordinate with electricians, carpenters, painters and night engineers to complete work.

Hourly Pay Rate: $23.00

What you will be doing

• Respond to all service calls within half hour from time call is received.
• Determine defects, trouble-shoot malfunctions, take immediate necessary corrective action if guest related/top priority or scheduled for completion within 2 days and record same on the departmental work order form.
• Follow specific departmental procedures in efficiently performing repair, maintenance, alteration and installation work.
• Comply with the latest local, county, state and federal governmental codes, laws and requirements.
• Coordinate with other department personnel such as electrician, carpenter, painter and night engineer in completing service, replacement, alteration and new installation work.

Hourly Pay Rate: $23.00

What we are looking for

• Previous hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen and general building construction
• Vocational training, associate's degree, certification and/or apprenticeship in one or more area; state certification or licensure where required
• Understand and efficiently maintain and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and boiler systems.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings and technical parts breakdown.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
