Job summary

Toyota's Battery Manufacturing North Carolina (TBMNC) seeks an Engineer I - HEV Battery Production to support mass production engineering, budgeting, and process changes on the shop floor. You will contribute to continuous improvement and collaborate across departments to optimize manufacturing indicators.

The role reports to the Engineering Manager and emphasizes safety, quality, productivity, and cost improvements through data-driven methods and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, quality, and/or project management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Mass Production Engineering support for Battery Manufacturing.
• Proactively identify and solve problems by spending time with people and equipment on the production shop floor.
• Use a methodical and data driven analytical approach to continuously improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost problems and report status to management members.
• Strong focus on process and equipment changepoint management and leading innovative engineering activities.
• Establish and manage budget planning and successful project execution.
• Drive action through proactive problem solving, visualizing group condition, and providing measurable and continual improvement.

Education
