Job summary

Williams is offering a 6-week onboarding program at its Tulsa headquarters for aspiring engineers. You will build technical and business acumen, work with cross-functional teams, and gain exposure to field operations through site visits.

You will complete a project aligned with company priorities while developing communication, leadership, and analytical skills. Graduate in 2026/2027 with a degree in engineering or construction science; relocation may be required and OPT/CPT sponsorship is not

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical) or Construction Science.
  • Graduate in May 2026, December 2026, or May 2027.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Valid driver's license with clean record.

Job description

  • Enhance analytical and technical proficiency, including data analysis and Excel
  • Gain firsthand exposure to field operations through immersive site experiences
  • Complete a project assignment aligned with business priorities and individual skills
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations
  • Work in field and office settings and travel to project sites as needed
  • Apply engineering principles, analytical thinking, and creativity to technical and operational problems
  • Take initiative, challenge assumptions, and drive continuous improvement
  • Develop understanding of Williams' operations, infrastructure, customers, and strategic priorities
  • Present technical information, recommendations, and project outcomes to diverse audiences
  • Seek feedback and continually expand technical and professional capabilities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Science
  • Graduate in May 2026, December 2026, or May 2027
  • Position is not eligible for sponsorship, including OPT/CPT
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Willingness and ability to relocate within the United States as business needs require
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities
  • Demonstrated initiative and willingness to take on stretch assignments
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into actionable business insights
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Engineering software experience is a plus
  • Strong commitment to safety as a core value
  • FE Certification preferred
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, demanding environments and navigate ambiguity
