Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an entry-level candidate for the CAD group, focusing on Design Data Management and Design Automation for SoC projects.

You will help develop and deploy data management software and automation scripts to support the design flow. Ideal candidates are final-year students or recent grads in Computer or Electrical Engineering with 0–3 years’ experience and a solid grasp of object-oriented programming, preferably with Python.

Qualifications

  • 0–3 years of professional experience.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of Microchip’s design data management software.
  • Assist in the implementation and enhancement of design flows and methodologies.
  • Develop and deploy automation scripts to support electronic circuit design.
  • Administer Design Data Management Systems such as DesignSync and ICManage.
  • Research and utilize software tools and libraries to address various tasks, preferably using Python.
  • Debug and maintain existing software tools and systems.
  • Prepare technical documentation.
  • Train users on the adoption of developed solutions.

Job Description:

This position is an excellent opportunity to begin a career in Electronic Design Automation (EDA) for individuals with a strong software background and an interest in hardware design.

The CAD group at Microchip supports technologies essential to the company's product development and delivers innovative solutions to the design community. The candidate will participate in various aspects of the development workflow.

The primary focus of this role is to support Design Data Management and Design Automation for System-on-Chip (SoC) projects.

Job Responsibilities:
