Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is offering an entry-level opportunity in the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) space for students with a strong software background and an interest in hardware design.

The CAD group supports workflows for SoC projects and fosters hands-on learning through real-world tooling. You will contribute to design data management, automate tasks with Python, and help maintain and document software used by design teams.

Qualifications

• Final-year student or recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• 0-3 years of professional experience.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of Microchip's design data management software.
• Assist in the implementation and enhancement of design flows and methodologies.
• Develop and deploy automation scripts to support electronic circuit design.
• Administer Design Data Management Systems such as DesignSync and ICManage.
• Research and utilize software tools and libraries to address various tasks, preferably using Python.
• Debug and maintain existing software tools and systems.
• Prepare technical documentation.
• Train users on the adoption of developed solutions.
