Job summary

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support in Nevada for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy. A junior engineer will research information, perform tolerance studies and design calculations, and plan engineering steps to resolve technical problems.

The role requires a BS in Engineering (ABET-accredited) and familiarity with engineering concepts and computer-based tools. Travel to remote locations may be required, with opportunities for reports and technical studies preparation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution is required.
• Working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and reference reading to assist higher-level engineers in obtaining technical information.
• Perform fundamental engineering tasks requiring standard techniques such as tolerance studies and design calculations.
• Plan and carry out successive engineering steps and resolve technical problems by standard practices and techniques.
• Support projects with limited scope or parts of more complex projects with detailed instructions on the intent and scope of the documents to be prepared.
• Study currently approved standards, codes, and procedures applied to the engineering specialty.
• Keep informed of currently approved standards, codes, and procedures applied to engineering specialty.
• Assist in preparation of reports, correspondence, or technical studies.
• Perform other job-related duties, as required.

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.

Job Duties - Essential Functions

Requirements - Education, Technical, And Work Experience

A Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited academic institution is required for this position.

• Professional knowledge of applicable engineering concepts and principles
• Familiarity with related engineering fields
• Practical knowledge of test methods and practices sufficient to perform routine to more complex engineering procedures and to prepare or make minor modifications of standard test procedures or test equipment work instructions
• Working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools
• Planning/organizational skills and the ability to work under deadlines

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in a typical office environment with no unusual hazards. Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting with occasional use of computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness are required.

Travel to remote company work locations may be required.
