Engineer, HVAC and Hydronic Heating and Cooling Systems

Join to apply for the Engineer, HVAC and Hydronic Heating and Cooling Systems role at Hixson Architecture, Engineering, Interiors.

This position is ideal for a recent graduate interested in designing HVAC systems for large industrial and commercial facilities. You will join an integrated team of architects, engineers, and project managers, working on challenging projects up to $500 million for major industry brands. The role aims to develop broad engineering skills, technical design expertise, consultation, and problem-solving abilities in a collaborative environment.

Position

Reports directly to the Manager of Mechanical Engineering. Responsibilities include participating in design teams to prepare drawings and specifications for HVAC systems such as critical process air handling, ductwork design, hydronic heating & cooling systems, including steam and hot water boilers, chillers, and cooling towers. The role involves proactive collaboration across multi-discipline design teams.

Qualifications

• BSME, BSMET, BSAE, or related degree; EI certification is a plus
• Familiarity with Revit is a plus
• Proactive contributor who adds value and drives assignments to completion
• Curious and effective team interaction
• Self-starter with good time management skills
• Strong work ethic and leadership qualities
