The Role

  • Candidate will serve as the senior integrator and must be recognized in field as a subject matter expert.
  • Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.

Must Have
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university and 14 years of experience
  • Master of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university and 12 years of experience
  • PHD in Engineering from an ABET accredited university and 10 year of experience

Possesses professional level expertise regarding PowerSystem Shipyard Interface Working As the Integrator between Navy and our vendors both in design and on the ship: Role is managerial in nature and is responsible for aggregating IPS component sub-systems into one system, so that the IPS is able to deliver overarching functionality, and ensuring that the sub-systems function together as a system. Provides direct oversight to the subsystems HII is responsible for, including Electric Plant/lPS control system (EPC), Electrical Distribution System, and Diesel Generator Sets. Ensures subsystem interface requirements are understood and met across the design team, including vendors - Assists in the development of: Electrical Power Load Analysis (EPLA); Electrical One-Line Diagram; Power Load Analysis; Power Voltage Drop; Transient Analysis; IPS system CONOPS (Concept of Operations); Test Procedures; Land Based Test Sites (LBTS) and Land Based Engineering Site (LBES); Vendor procurement and test plans; Drawings and drafts HII tech manuals. Provides technical guidance and direction to engineers across disciplines responsible for interfacing systems. Provide professional technical mentoring for other engineers.
