Overview

Due to growth, we are adding an Engineer, Development Operations to our IT Infrastructure Services department.

The Engineer, Development Operations is responsible for administration, support, troubleshooting, and implementation of Azure DevOps, whether hosted on-premises or remotely. This role supports CI/CD/RM/DevOps to deliver business value, automate processes, and improve quality. The engineer will implement DevOps principles at an enterprise level, enable continuous integration and delivery, and collaborate with application teams to increase efficiency and automate software delivery, enhancing quality, speed, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Research and recommend automated approaches for system administration and integration with enterprise applications.
• Research emerging technologies, products, languages, and standards to support procurement and development.
• Coordinate application and infrastructure releases with application teams.
• Participate in release cycles and coordinate activities across environments.
• Partner with development and operations teams to develop automation solutions and custom modules.
• Write scripts to automate provisioning and configure services using cloud technologies.
• Configure build pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Troubleshoot production issues, applying debugging techniques and collaborating with development and QA teams.
• Maintain deployment tools and solutions, ensuring standards and reducing errors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent experience in IT, with 5+ years of professional experience.
• Experience with application performance management tools like AppDynamics.
• Experience with enterprise logging tools like Splunk.
• Experience with version control and agile tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, TFVC.
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible or Puppet, container platforms like OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
• Shell scripting skills (Linux/Windows).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools, REST API architecture, and microservice architecture.
• Understanding of enterprise security, OAuth, identity management (a plus).
• Development experience with JavaScript, Angular, .NET Core, Kafka, SQL (a plus).
• Ability to cooperate and communicate effectively with team members.
