Job summary

LTIMindtree in Austin, TX is seeking a Role Platform Support System Board Rework Technician. The position is an on-site role requiring hands-on assembly, debugging, and system bring-up tasks across Windows and Linux environments.

Responsibilities include BIOS flashing, OS installation, hardware troubleshooting, and lab infrastructure organization and maintenance. Strong attention to detail and reliability are essential for daily 8am–5pm shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling computer systems with various hardware components.
• Ability to debug issues in computer system bring-up.
• Familiarity with BIOS flashing, OS install (Windows/Linux), drivers, and network configuration.

Responsibilities

• Assemble computer systems using multiple hardware components.
• Debug issues during system bring-up and testing.
• Flash BIOS, install Windows and Linux, configure drivers, partitions, and networks.

Job Skills

Primary Skills

• Platform Support System Board Support.
• Familiarity with computerserver hardware architecture.
• Ability to assemble computer systems using various hardware components.
• Ability to debug issues in computer system bringup.
• Ability to flash BIOS install Operating Systems Windows Linux install Firmware and Drivers disk partitioning configuring networks and debug associated issues.
• Ability to socket CPUs.
• Ability to organize lab space and infrastructure for a given project network and power cabling test benchrack setup etc.
• Knowledge on test and measurement equipment DMM Oscilloscopes Logic analyzers Network analyzers Power meters associated probescables etc.

Secondary Skills

• Rework Soldering.
• Knowledge on computer hardware Motherboards CPUs Memory DIMMs Addon cards Hard drives HDDs KVMs etc.
• Ability to read electronic schematics PC board files BOM data etc.
• Knowledge on IPC soldering standards.
• Experience in solderingdesoldering various SMT components fine pitch IC packages BGAs various connectors etc.
• Experience in building custom cables.
• Blue wire rework on multilayer PC boards.

Other Expectations

• Attention to detail and well organized.
• Ability to follow given instructions clearly.
• Able to lift 35 Lbs job may require shifting computers from one rack to another etc.
• Candidate should have reliable transportation and are OK with daily commute as it is 100 onsite work.
• Candidate must have good attitude communication skills.
• Willingness to learn.

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, performance and internal equity.
