Job summary

The Deerfield in New Richmond, WI, operated by Presbyterian Homes & Services (PHS), seeks a full-time Engineer. Hours are Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm with pay of $25.90–$28.58/hour. The role focuses on maintaining buildings, grounds and equipment to ensure safety and comfort for residents.

You will perform repairs, maintenance tasks, and life-safety duties, coordinating with vendors and following site policies. Benefits support health, retirement, PTO and more.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in commercial or residential building maintenance.
  • Able to work independently, multi task, follow directions and work under supervision.
  • Relate well and provide a professional image and services to all customers.
  • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language; participate in an after hours emergency on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

  • The Engineer works independently and with the team to maintain buildings, grounds and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform building and equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot complex problems and interface with contractors/vendors.
  • Maintain life safety systems and respond to daily work orders.
  • Complete tasks such as painting, apartment turns, snow removal, pool care and other projects as assigned.

The Deerfield is seeking a full-time Engineer to join our team.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Pay: $25.90-$28.58/hour

Located 20 minutes east of Stillwater, MN, The Deerfield in New Richmond, Wisconsin, is surrounded by five lovely acres. This beautifully landscaped community is convenient to the nearby nature reserve, medical and dental clinics, a pharmacy, and hospital.This community offers the following care options: Assisted Living, Assisted Living Memory Care, Care Center/Long Term Care, and Long-Term Care Memory Care.

Responsibilities

The Engineer is responsible for working independently as well as participating in team initiatives to execute assignments by site leadership. Create a safe and secure environment by maintaining the buildings, grounds, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, consistent with regulations and established policies, procedures and best practices.

Execute assigned responsibilities for buildings and grounds as defined by the site leadership to include:

  • Building and Equipment repair
  • Troubleshooting complex problems
  • Working with contractors and vendors
  • Maintain life safety systems
  • Preventive maintenance routines
  • Completion of daily work ordersBuilding, grounds, and equipment maintenance
  • Painting
  • Apartment turns
  • Building maintenance
  • Customer requests
  • Snow removal
  • Pool care
  • Other projects as assigned
Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.Must be able to participate in an after hours emergency on-call rotation consisting of one week on-call at a frequency depending on the size of the on-call group.
