Job summary

PENN Entertainment, Inc. is hiring a Pool Technician to maintain water balance for a 40,000-gallon pool and four hot tubs at Ameristar Casino Resort Spa (CO). The role requires a CPO certification and a minimum of two months in pool/spa maintenance, plus strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 months' experience with water testing and pool and spa maintenance.
• Must be able to attend, pass and receive their CPO certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the proper water balance of a 40,000gal swimming pool and 4 hot tubs.
• Maintain all bodies of water in a healthy and sanitary condition.
• Maintain equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters in safe operating condition.
• Keep logs and records of all water tests and work performed.
• Maintain inventory of chemicals and testing reagents.
• Drain and clean hot tubs regularly as required by water conditions.
• Keep department leadership informed of any issues.
• Maintain pool deck lighting and overall customer-ready appearance.
• Maintain pool furniture and outdoor planting beds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the proper water balance of a 40,000gal swimming pool and 4 hot tubs as described in the Board of Health Codes from the State of CO. and the County of Gilpin.
• Maintain all bodies of water in a healthy and sanitary condition.
• Maintain all associated equipment, i.e., pumps, filters, heaters in a safe and operation condition.
• Maintain logs and records of all water tests performed and of all work performed on all bodies of water.
• Maintain an inventory of all needed chemicals used for maintaining the proper balance of the water which also includes testing reagents.
• Drain and thoroughly clean hot tubs on a consistent basis as dictated by the TDS of the water.
• Maintain an inventory of spare parts for pumps and filters to minimize downtime.
• Be responsible for performing any in-house repairs to equipment, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Keep department leadership informed of any issues that may arise with any of the bodies of water.
• Maintain the pool deck in a customer ready, welcoming condition, i.e., maintain the lighting on both the indoor and outdoor pool deck and elevator lobbies.
• Maintain the pool furniture in a safe and usable condition.
• Keep the outdoor planting beds appropriately watered.
