Pexco in Town of Plymouth, Wisconsin is seeking an Engineer to design, improve, and implement manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment to enhance production capabilities and product quality.

You will collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain, perform time studies and process mapping, lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, and support trials, scale-ups, and new product launches while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles (certification preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job description

The Engineer is responsible for supporting manufacturing and operational excellence through the design, improvement, and implementation of processes, equipment, and tooling. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for efficiency, ensure product quality, and drive innovation in support of business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Development
    • Develop and improve manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment to enhance production capabilities.
    • Create and maintain technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
    • Support product design changes and ensure manufacturability.
  • Process Improvement
    • Conduct time studies, workflow analyses, and process mapping to identify efficiency opportunities.
    • Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste, improve quality, and optimize throughput.
    • Monitor and evaluate process performance, making data-driven recommendations.
  • Collaboration and Support
    • Partner with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to resolve technical issues.
    • Provide engineering support during production trials, scale-ups, and new product launches.
    • Assist in training operators and maintenance staff on new processes or equipment.
  • Quality and Compliance
  • Ensure all engineering work complies with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in root cause analyses and corrective/preventive actions for quality issues.

Qualifications

Physical Demands
