Job summary

The Logical Balance is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to execute assignments with precision, supporting design, manufacturing operations and project teams using conventional engineering methods to improve products, processes, and organizational effectiveness.

You will uphold product integrity by refining specifications, test parameters, quality benchmarks and design criteria, while performing CAD work and data analysis to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • 1–4 years in industrial design or engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive engineering support to Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, Marketing, and Senior Management.
  • Collaborate on tooling processes, DFM/A initiatives, and cost reduction strategies.
  • Strategize, design, develop, assess, and endorse test equipment, procedures, and specifications to uphold or enhance product quality standards.
  • Author and compile documentation pertaining to products and procedures.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to independently execute assignments with precision and proficiency in alignment with specified outcomes. The successful candidate will employ conventional engineering methodologies to bolster design, project team endeavors, and manufacturing operations pertaining to various products. The role involves conducting comprehensive engineering studies to drive continuous enhancement across products, processes, and organizational efficacy. Upholding product integrity is paramount, accomplished through the formulation and refinement of product specifications, test parameters, quality benchmarks, and design parameters. Proficiency in computer operations, encompassing CAD operations, spreadsheet manipulation, and word processing, is essential. A solid grasp of relevant product materials and production processes is also required.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  1. Provide comprehensive engineering support to various departments including Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, Marketing, and Senior Management. Collaborate on tooling processes, Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFM/A) initiatives, and cost reduction strategies.
  2. Strategize, design, develop, assess, and endorse test equipment, procedures, and specifications to uphold or enhance product quality standards.
  3. Author and compile documentation pertaining to products and procedures.
  4. Coordinate problem-solving endeavors concerning product requisites, conventional and specialized material usage, process capabilities, and documentation interpretation.
Competencies in Computer Operations:
  • CAD Proficiency in modeling and two-dimensional drawing, with preference for ProE/CreO experience and familiarity with Finite Element Analysis.
  • Microsoft Office Suite Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access.
  • Familiarity with Engineering Network File Structure.
  • Experience in designing validation tests and compiling comprehensive reports.
  • Proficiency in Manufacturing Resource Planning (Visual).
Education, Reasoning Ability, and/or Experience:

A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering is required, with preferred experience ranging from one to four years in industrial design or engineering.
