Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel and Residences New Orleans is seeking an Engineer to join our engineering team. The role supports the Assistant Director of Engineering in daily operations and maintains hotel equipment across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.

You will handle preventive maintenance, respond to guest requests, and assist with renovations while upholding Four Seasons’ standards of service and safety.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent experience.
• 3 months to 1 year of related work experience.
• Must have license.
• Working knowledge of general building maintenance.
• On-the-job training or professional certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and log updates on equipment.
• Repair building equipment: motors, starters, breakers, chillers, and related systems.
• Respond to guest room and public-area maintenance requests promptly.
• Handle emergency conditions such as fires or power outages.
• Keep Engineering stations clean and organized; maintain grease traps and plumbing.
• Install or relocate equipment as needed.
• Support energy conservation initiatives.
• Assist in installing electrical and mechanical systems for renovations.

About the role

Four Seasons Hotel and Residences New Orleans is seeking candidates to join our dynamic engineering team as Engineer. Our Engineer will support the Assistant Director of Engineering, on the day-to-day operation of the Engineering Department. This team member also provides service and repairs to hotel equipment including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration, interior, paint and decorating, and respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons' policies.

What you will do

• Handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update appropriate logs.
• Handle all repairs of equipment including motors, starters, breakers, chillers and associated equipment throughout the entire building.
• Respond to guest calls regarding maintenance of rooms and equipment in rooms or public area in a timely manner.
• Respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc.
• Clean all stations in Engineering, grease traps, plumbing stoppages and maintain an organized department and hotel.
• Install or relocate any additional equipment or existing equipment when necessary.
• Assist with energy conservation programs in the hotel.
• Assist in the installation of electrical and mechanical systems for renovations, outlet additions and associated equipment and electrical set ups for exhibits including maintenance of those set-ups.

What you bring

• High School education or equivalent experience
• Experience required by position is from three months to one full year of employment in the related position with Four Seasons or other organizations.
• Must have license.
• Requires a working technical knowledge of general building maintenance.
• Working knowledge is generally learned on-the- Job or through a series of professional certifications.
• Requires knowledge of the ability to operate computer equipment.

Schedule & Hours:

• This position is considered Full-Time. Candidates must be able to work Overnight, Nights, Mornings, Weekends, and Holidays.
