Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Manufacturing Production Supervisor I to lead a shop floor team on Engine and Transmission Assembly lines. You will drive safety, quality, and productivity while coaching technicians to meet targets and improve line performance.

The role involves leading shift huddles, balancing manpower, and collaborating with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues. Relocation to Ohio area is possible, onsite work expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with 4 years of relevant experience, or 6+ years leading teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and powertrain production.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and resolve conflicts in a fast-paced shop.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for cross-functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with shop floor tracking tools or MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and throughput for Engine and Transmission Assembly lines.
• Lead daily shift huddles and assign manpower for line balancing.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct audits for a zero-incident floor.
• Monitor KPIs for quality, defects, and schedule adherence.
• Coach and mentor technicians for growth and cross-training.
• Troubleshoot bottlenecks with Powertrain Engineering and Quality teams.
• Drive CI initiatives and lean improvements on the line.
