Job summary

Briggs & Stratton seeks an experienced engineer to evaluate, test, and recommend solutions for customer concerns and manufacturing or design processes. You will work with existing, modified, and new products, applying engine knowledge and development practices.

You will conduct standard tests, prepare conclusive reports, and adapt analysis methods as needed. Travel to customer sites may be required, supporting new business initiatives and product placement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum five years of engineering or related experience.
• Two years of professional experience with non-technical personnel in a technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Develops, conducts and analyzes standard tests and prepares reports to resolve customer concerns or problems.
• Modifies analysis techniques when necessary to solve problems.
• Originates and applies new approaches to evaluate engine and product design failures.
• Adheres to new product development processes from concept to post-launch steps.
• Recommends manufacturing methods during design of new products and changes.
