Qualifications

• Able to convey an understanding verbally and in writing of technical concepts and issues to non-technical personnel internally and externally.
• Knowledgeable in mechanical/electrical requirements related to the area of responsibility.
• Basic knowledge of engineering related computer systems/software.
• Demonstrated knowledge of engineering concepts, practices and procedures.
• Proficient knowledge of internal combustion engines and related products.
• Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location.

Responsibilities

• Develops, conducts and analyzes standard tests and prepares conclusive technical reports to resolve customer concerns/problems.
• Modifies analysis techniques when necessary to solve problems.
• Originates and applies new and unique approaches to evaluate engine, component and product design failures.
• Adheres to new product development processes as it relates to Concept Analysis, Business Case, product development, pre-production and post launch steps.
• Recommends methods of manufacturing during the design of new products,design modifications or process changes based on cost/design studies.
• Travels to customer sites as necessary to review applications and discuss problems.
• Assists internal key stakeholders in developing and demonstrating new business initiatives for customers aimed at product placement and sales/revenue improvement.
• Organizes and coordinates product related activities for external customers as required.
• Performs analysis of modeled engineering problems using existing methods/software.
• Performs other duties as assigned
