Job summary

Warren Equipment Company in Midland, TX is seeking an Engine Shop Technician I to deliver high quality repair services on equipment, ensuring customer needs are met in a positive, timely manner and maximizing value of work performed.

You will complete assigned jobs to meet flat rate times, follow safety policies, handle required paperwork and inspections, and work with diesel/gas engines and related systems with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree/certificate in diesel technology preferred.
• 3–5 years of diesel/automotive technician experience or equivalent.
• Experience with diesel or gas engines and hydraulic, electrical, mechanical systems.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company vehicle.
• Complete Work Steps assessment.
• Safety and hazmat awareness and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat rate times and re-do metrics.
• Work safely and follow WCAT safety policies and procedures.
• Complete related paperwork and access databases (work orders, parts orders, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately and timely.
• Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
• Remove and install parts, disassemble and inspect assemblies with minimal supervision.
