Job summary

Edison Chouest Offshore seeks a qualified QMED to perform engine room duties, assist the chief engineer, and participate in safety drills aboard a vessel. The role involves shift work, watch duties, and adherence to Coast Guard regulations.

The candidate will maintain machinery, assist with lifeboat operations, and help with mooring and housekeeping tasks, all while protecting crew safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a QMED credential and valid U.S. Coast Guard credentials.
• Experience in engine room maintenance and watch duties preferred.
• Willing to work a 7-day rotation with long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Clean engine room and machinery; assist engineer.
• Perform engine room watch duties.
• Report shortages to Master or Engineer.
• Participate in safety drills and training.
• Assist with lifeboat maintenance and rigging.
• Handle mooring lines as needed.
• Ensure PPE and environmental compliance.
