Job summary

Bowhead Marine Support Services seeks an entry level QMED/Wiper for shipboard positions at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida. The role involves engine room maintenance, painting, lubrication, deck operations, and assisting engineers to keep the vessel clean and running smoothly.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, a current Merchant Mariners Document with Ordinary Seaman/Wiper/Oiler rating, TWIC, and a valid U.S. passport.

Responsibilities

• Primarily works in engine department for cleaning, painting, oiling and greasing machinery and assisting in repair.
• Oils and greases moving parts of engines and auxiliary equipment; may stand watches and assist in mooring.
• Assist in handling deck gear and rigging; contribute to cargo handling and launch/recovery of boats.
• Assist Engineer in deck and machinery tasks; perform watch duties when assigned.
