Job summary

Harnish Group Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate personnel, tasks and materials for engine sale delivery and start-up.

You will oversee multiple projects across stages, requiring strong time management and organization, with close interaction with sales, vendors and customers to fully understand and manage each project. The role involves preparing submittals, procurement, installation, commissioning and documentation, while ensuring customer satisfaction and financial health of

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in project management or a related technology field.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, electric generator sets, transfer switches and related applications.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MS Office and Adobe is strongly preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Project manage EPG (Electric Power Generation) projects including submittals, procurement, construction management and start-up.
• Control finances and maintain the financial health of a project.
• Ensure customer/end user satisfaction.
• Provide engineering and application support to field service technicians, sales reps and customers.
• Respond to engine customer technical issues and queries.
• Review project documents for compliance with requirements.
• Facilitate engine appraisal and installation.
• Design and evaluate custom components for client applications.
• Work independently across project stages with minimal supervision.
