Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Engine Test Technician for the Dearborn, MI engine dynamometer lab. The role focuses on gasoline and diesel engine testing, data collection and collaboration with engineers to improve test methods.

The position runs 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, offers a $1,000 signing bonus, and requires a High School Diploma with knowledge of engines/powertrain. Benefits are provided, with opportunities to learn and grow in testing disciplines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or higher; knowledge of engines and powertrain.
• Good interpersonal, computer, oral and written skills.
• Experience or interest in automotive testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct gasoline and diesel engine dynamometer testing.
• Support development, durability and performance testing.
• Collect, review and validate data; propose engineering recommendations.
• Fabricate basic fixtures and discuss updates to test procedures.
• Verify calibration and maintenance of test equipment and systems.
• Install engines on dynamometer and hook up instrumentation.
