Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Quality/Design Release Engineer to manage CAD/BOM structures and drive release processes for base engine sub-systems. You will perform feasibility analyses with CAD tools and lead DFSS-based quality projects to reduce warranty spend and improve reliability.

The role requires collaboration with suppliers, internal teams, and launch teams, along with travel as needed to support programs. The position is hybrid in the Dearborn, MI area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ME/EE/Materials/Aerospace Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience leading projects.
• Experience with internal combustion engines or after-treatment systems.
• Knowledge of DFSS/6Sigma concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead/Support design release and CAD data management for base engine sub-system.
• Develop and release components, manage supplier interactions and DVPs.
• Coordinate cross-functional design reviews, change control and CPMT activities.
• Interface with suppliers, STA, and launch teams to resolve quality issues.
