Job summary

LiquidPiston is seeking an Engine Design Engineer to drive concept-to-production engine systems, with a focus on high-performance powertrains. You will contribute to design decisions and collaborate across engineering functions.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in engine design, strong thermodynamics/combustion knowledge, and hands-on prototyping experience using SolidWorks, GT-Power, and AVL.

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
• 3+ years of experience in engine design or complex mechanical systems.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, combustion, and mechanical integration.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing.

Responsibilities

• Designing and optimizing engine subsystems and components
• Creating CAD models and engineering drawings (SolidWorks)
• Performing FEA, thermal, and vibration analysis
• Supporting validation, prototyping, and design-for-manufacturing efforts
• Interfacing with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams
