Job summary

Kinder Morgan, Inc. is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy mechanical equipment including reciprocating and turbine engines and compressors in an industrial setting. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and teamwork.

Responsibilities include mentoring teammates, reporting safety concerns, and ensuring compliance with company standards. Overtime and after-hours readiness are required, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical maintenance of reciprocating/centrifical compressor units.
• Prefer experience with turbine engines, natural gas compressors, auxiliary engines, and related equipment.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver license, and maintain a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and/or auxiliary equipment.
• Perform heavy mechanical maintenance and replacement of engines and compressors, including prime movers and auxiliary units.
• This position reports to a Crew Leader to ensure consistency in maintenance practices and detailed computer documentation.
• Mentor team mates and other personnel on proper operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Identify, report, and assist in correcting safety and environmental concerns.
• Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork timely and accurately.
• Operate in compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain regular attendance and high level of performance.
