Job summary

The Community Group seeks an enthusiastic early childhood teacher to join our Greater Lawrence centers. You will plan developmentally appropriate curriculum, ensure a safe, stimulating classroom, and guide assistants to deliver high-quality learning experiences.

Responsibilities include collaborating with staff, documenting child progress, and communicating with families. A degree in ECE and MA EEC certification are preferred, with opportunities for professional growth and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Requires associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field.
• Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) Teacher Certification required.
• Must be at least 21 years old; CPR/First Aid preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus; strong communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Create a safe, engaging classroom that fosters active learning and creativity.
• Guide assistants, volunteers, and interns to maintain a nurturing environment.
• Collaborate to design age-appropriate daily activities and routines.
• Maintain records and communicate progress to parents and guardians.
• Support referrals for additional services when needed.
