Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Strong swimming skills and prior swim-instruction experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with participants of varying ages and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured swim lessons aligned with program standards.
• Teach water safety skills and proper stroke technique.
• Adapt lessons to meet individual participant needs and skill levels.
• Maintain a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment.
• Ensure the safety of all participants at all times and enforce pool rules.
• Respond to emergencies in accordance with training.
• Communicate effectively with participants, parents and staff.
• Assist with setup/breakdown of lesson equipment and keep areas clean.
• Complete attendance and required program documentation.
