Job summary

Easterseals Florida, Inc is seeking a reliable Substitute Teacher for Explorer Academy in Bunnell. This temporary full-time role covers staff absences, with a 3-month initial assignment and potential as-needed continuation.

Typical hours 7:45 am–5:00 pm, Monday–Friday, supporting developmentally appropriate activities and routines. Pay ranges from $15.00 to $17.00 per hour, with benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Experience with young children preferred.
• Willingness to complete Florida 45-hour Child Care Training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage across multiple age groups.
• Follow lesson plans and guidance from directors and teachers.
• Supervise children and maintain staff-child ratios.
• Assist with daily activities and routines.
• Communicate with families and staff professionally.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe classrooms.
• Participate in training and professional development.
