Job summary

Adventures One Inc is seeking an Activities Assistant in Clinton, MD to plan and lead engaging programs for seniors. You will help organize daily activities, motivate participants, and assist the Activities Director in coordinating events and outings.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 3–5 years of related experience, with CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain. A compassionate, patient demeanor and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of prior experience in activities, recreation, or caregiving with seniors.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing daily recreational and social activities programs
• Engage and motivate participants to take part in scheduled activities and events
• Support the Activities Director in coordinating special events, outings, and holiday programs
• Monitor and document participant attendance, progress, and overall engagement
• Set up and break down activity spaces, materials, and equipment as needed
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all participants
• Communicate effectively with staff, participants, and families regarding activity schedules and updates
