Job summary

The City of New Braunfels seeks friendly team members for DAS REC, New Braunfels Recreation Center, to assist in coordinating recreation programs and ensuring safety and quality service for employees, members and visitors.

Under supervision, you will help monitor gym and fitness activities, assist with activity programming, crowd control, facility preparation, and basic administrative duties and reporting. Must be 16+ with some customer service experience and be willing to work varied hours.

Qualifications

• Must be sixteen (16) years of age and have 1 year customer service/public interaction experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret customer and facility needs and resolve issues.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and take corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating recreation programs and use of City facilities.
• Monitor gym and fitness center activities to ensure safety and quality.
• Prepare and maintain facilities to meet community needs and safety standards.
• Assist with activity programming, crowd control, and event setup.
• Perform basic administrative tasks and incident reporting.
