YMCA of San Diego County is seeking a Personal Trainer to build positive relationships with members, guide workouts, and deliver tailored training programs. You will teach correct form, provide modifications, and help members reach their health and wellness goals.

Responsibilities include creating a welcoming training environment, maintaining a clean workspace, and engaging participants across all fitness levels while adhering to certification and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Must hold CPR/AED and First Aid certification from an approved organization within 30 days of hire.
• Certification must include Adult and Child/Infant levels.
• Fingerprinting with YMCA of San Diego County is required.

Responsabilités

• Create a positive member experience and engage participants during workouts.
• Demonstrate proper form, provide modifications, and cue effectively.
• Maintain a clean and safe workout area and equipment setup.
• Lead training sessions within scheduled times and build community.
• Respond to emergencies and communicate with groups clearly.

Licensing and compliance awareness

CPR/AED and First Aid required

Formation

NCCA Accredited Certification (ACE, ACSM, ISSA, NASM)

4 year degree in related field

1 year Exercise Science Certification

Specialty certification related to training type
