Job summary

Dallas College is seeking a faculty member to teach students effectively in assigned classes and maintain office hours for student consultation. All positions are on-site with potential hybrid arrangements after six months based on policy and needs.

The position requires advanced degrees and strong communication, with bilingual preferred. Official transcripts will be required at interview and background checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher and at least 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline for credit courses.
• For workforce education degree or certificate courses: a combination of academic preparation and work experience, including three (3) years of direct or related work experience other than teaching.
• For developmental courses: Bachelor’s degree or higher in the specific teaching discipline and demonstrated competency (i.e., teaching experience, honors, graduate course work or other related accomplishments). Official transcripts will be required at time of interview.
• Bilingual or multilingual preferred.
• ***Will be subject to a criminal background check. Some positions may be subject to a fingerprint check.***

Responsibilities

• Provides students with a written course syllabus.
• Participates in the evaluation of the instructional process and uses innovative strategies to continually improve learning.
• Maintains accurate and complete course records.
• Promotes the college in the community by participating in a variety of marketing activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
