Job summary

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is seeking an enthusiastic Event Facilitator to support Lifelong Learning programs and exhibition events. This part-time, on-site role coordinates classes, workshops, lectures and demonstrations, delivering a welcoming guest experience from setup through wrap-up.

You will serve as a day-of resource for instructors, volunteers and staff, assisting with check-in, space readiness and logistics, and collaborating across departments to create engaging, smooth

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience supporting events, programs, hospitality or guest-facing experiences preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to guest service.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to follow event plans, schedules and instructions.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with staff, volunteers, instructors and partners.
• Ability to remain calm, flexible and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced event environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate onsite Lifelong Learning classes, workshops, lectures and exhibitions to run on schedule.
• Serve as onsite point of contact for instructors, presenters, partners, vendors, volunteers and staff; communicate schedules and expectations.
• Assist with setup, breakdown and reset of spaces, signage and materials.
• Provide operational support for exhibitions and gallery activities beyond scheduled events.
• Greet guests, assist with check-in and provide directions and program information.
• Collaborate with Lifelong Learning, Exhibitions, Sales and Gardens events teams to coordinate event needs.
