Job summary

Code Ninjas is seeking a Sensei (Tutor) in Los Angeles to coach children aged 5–14 in coding through hands-on activities and games. The role focuses on delivering the curriculum, creating a fun, safe learning space, and adapting activities to each child’s skill level.

The Sensei will monitor student progress, provide feedback to parents, and support daily center routines while maintaining a lively and engaging classroom atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children ages 5+ (mentoring, coaching, tutoring).
• Experience with the general public.
• Experience in teaching, mentoring or child care.

Responsibilities

• Training - go through the curriculum and learn it.
• Create a positive and safe environment in which students can grow.
• Work with children to determine skill sets.
• Provide feedback to parents after working with a student who is on a tour.
• Follow opening/closing duties daily.
• Clean dojo throughout the day to ensure cleanliness is kept up to corporate standards.
• Report weekly to Center Assistant Manager on progress.
• Report daily to Center Manager with respect to day’s activities and productivity in dojo.
