Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality seeks a highly motivated Bartender for the Virginia Guesthouse, a 214-room property opening April 2026 on the Grounds of the University of Virginia. You will greet guests, craft beverages, and guide guests through the bar experience with engaging, personalized service.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of bartender experience, current certification, and knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails and spirits.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of bartender experience
• Current bartenders’ certification or appropriate license
• Knowledgeable in the latest trends around mixology
• Someone who is descriptive and can sell
• Excellent communication skills
• Engaging and welcoming personality

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and maintain bar setup daily.
• Describe menu and guide guests through beverage journeys.
• Take accurate orders and confirm special requests.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen/bar staff.
• Stock, garnish, and rotate bar inventory.
• Input orders in POS and create checks for guests.
• Finalize the experience with timely and accurate bill presentation.
