Job summary

Kentucky Country Day School is seeking a part-time After-School Care Teacher for the Middle School in Louisville. The role provides supervision, support, and engagement for students during after-school hours, fostering a safe and welcoming environment.

The position runs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm with flexible days, and requires strong communication and collaboration with faculty and staff to support students and families.

Qualifications

Experience working with middle school-aged students is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to supervise groups of students positively and professionally.
Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff.

Responsibilities

Supervise middle school students during after-school programming.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
Monitor student attendance and sign-out procedures.
Facilitate activities, games, study time, and enrichment opportunities.
Encourage positive student behavior and uphold school expectations.
Communicate concerns, incidents, or student needs to the Director of Auxiliary Programs.
Maintain orderly program spaces and ensure materials are properly stored.
Assist with student transitions and dismissal procedures.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow school safety protocols.
