Job summary

Chess Wizards is seeking enthusiastic, reliable instructors to join our after-school enrichment program in Anaheim, CA. Onboarding and training occur during the summer, with teaching starting in the fall.

Lead fun chess classes for elementary students, following our curriculum, managing a lively classroom, and traveling to local schools. Flexible schedule: 1–5 classes per week, typically 2:00 PM–5:00 PM, with competitive pay per class and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Experience working with groups of children.
• Ability to lead a class independently and engage students.
• Professional, positive, kid-friendly demeanor.
• Strong grasp of chess fundamentals and age-appropriate explanations.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to multiple sites.
• Availability on weekday afternoons 2:00 PM–5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Lead fun, interactive chess classes for 10–15 elementary students.
• Follow a structured curriculum to teach chess fundamentals.
• Manage a lively classroom with confidence and positivity.
