Job summary

The University of New Hampshire's Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach in one or more of our business administration and /or economics programs. Adjunct appointments are on a course-by-course basis; renewal may be possible depending on department needs and teaching performance.

The pay range is $3,000 per course. Durham campus, part-time, with office hours and online LMS usage expected.

Qualifications

• Experience and interest in training and mentoring young professionals, either formally or informally.
• Applicants should have either a related Master's or Ph.D. degree.
• A related Bachelor's degree and extensive work experience may substitute for the advanced degree requirement.
• Experience and interest in training and mentoring young professionals, either formally or informally.
• The applicant is expected to be committed to excellent teaching and be engaged in continued professional development/practice.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging course content in the assigned course(s), consistent with curricular guidance provided by the department chair and/or course coordinator.
• Foster an inclusive and collaborative learning environment that encourages creativity and critical thinking.
• Provide at least one scheduled office hour per week, either on campus or online, for each course.
• Utilize the university's learning management system to make course information, resources, and feedback available to students in a timely manner.
• Evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, presentations, and examinations in accordance with university policies.
• Stay current with new developments and resources related to course content.
• Participate in periodic meetings with college faculty leadership as needed.
