Job summary

Victorian Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Assistant to support our Activity Director in creating engaging programs that enhance residents' quality of life.

This part-time weekend role involves planning and leading activities, assisting with outings and transportation, and documenting activities while fostering participation and well-being for elderly residents. We offer PTO, holiday pay, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing, long-term care, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with elderly and disabled residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and leading individual, small group, and large group activities.
• Support resident outings, special events, transportation coordination, and activity documentation.
• Encourage participation in hobbies, crafts, games, reading, and other recreational programs.
• Maintain a clean and organized Activity Department while assisting with resident assessments and care plans.
