Job summary

Synechron in the United States is seeking an Engagement Lead/ Principal Architect to drive a strategic data-transformation program for a major banking client. You will define the delivery framework, govern data architecture, and manage executive stakeholder relationships across Data Mesh and Enterprise Architecture teams.

The role requires 10+ years in data architecture or transformation consulting, 3+ years as the accountable owner of engagements at director or principal level, and TOGAF

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data architecture or data transformation consulting.
• 3+ years as accountable owner of engagements at director or principal level.
• Capital markets or Tier-1/Tier-2 banking domain grounding.
• Proven ownership of a target-state data architecture accepted by a bank board.
• Data mesh operating-model fluency and governance.
• Executive presence with bank stakeholders at head-of and MD level.
• TOGAF certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Secure read-only access to SQL Server system metadata and stand up the approved analysis workspace and repository.
• Agree the RACI, standards, templates and cadence, and lock the delivery-review and escalation path into the architecture board.
• Map stakeholders and secure a single named coordination point per business domain.
• Own the risk, issue and dependency log; elevate stakeholder-availability slippage early.
• Chair the DACI forum for contested and multi-domain items and enforce accountability.
• Quality-gate every phase exit against the agreed key exits before deliverables reach.
• Own the target-state conceptual architecture narrative and defend it at the architecture board.
• Author the executive summary and recommendations (slides/Word), sequencing the roadmap by materiality and risk.
• Frame the follow-on phase: what to fund next, order, and cost of deferral on core tables.
