Job summary

Atria Senior Living, Inc. is seeking an Activities/Engagement Assistant to lead Engage Life programs and coordinate resident activities. You will supervise varied recreation, assist in event planning, and ensure residents are informed and engaged in community life.

The role involves greeting new residents, planning seasonal celebrations, and maintaining activity records; some driving may be required where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, 3–6 months related experience or training, or equivalent combination.
• Able to write simple correspondence and present information clearly.
• Work with residents, support activities under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned Engage Life programs.
• Offer adequate and diversified recreational activities with supervision.
• Develop programs for residents including for those confined to rooms.
• Engage and motivate residents resulting in participation.
• Inform residents of upcoming activities and maintain the schedule on the bulletin board.
• Greet new residents and introduce them to others with similar interests.
• Assist in planning parties and activities and decorate the community by season/holiday; plan monthly birthdays.
• Assist Bright Beginnings including housewarmings.
• Support census building initiatives.
• Maintain records of activities and resident participation as required by state law.
• Assist Engage Life Director in enlisting volunteers.
• May drive company vehicle when required.
• May perform other duties as needed.
