White Square Vascular Surgery PA in Baltimore, MD is seeking a highly skilled Preoperative, PACU, and Intraoperative Registered Nurse to join our outpatient surgical team, delivering compassionate perioperative care.

You will perform preoperative assessments, ensure aseptic technique, administer medications, monitor intraoperative and recovery vital signs, and educate patients and families on postoperative plans and pain management.

No nights, weekends, or holidays; vascular experience valued.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license required.
• Current CPR and ACLS certification.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive preoperative assessments and documentation.
• Prepare patients for surgery with aseptic technique.
• Administer medications including IV infusions and sedation per policy.
• Monitor vital signs during intraoperative procedures and in PACU.

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Preoperative, PACU, and Intraoperative Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic surgical team. This role involves providing exceptional patient care throughout the perioperative process in an outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will possess experience in acute care settings, including operating room procedures, critical care, and post-anesthesia recovery. Candidates with expertise in vascular are highly preferred. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to patient recovery and safety during surgical interventions and post-op care. No nights, weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive preoperative assessments, including vital signs, patient history, and physical examinations
• Prepare patients for surgery by ensuring aseptic technique and proper documentation of medical records
• Administer medications including IV infusions, injections, and sedation while adhering to HIPAA guidelines
• Monitor patient vital signs and physiological parameters during intraoperative procedures and in PACU
• Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain sterile environments during surgeries
• Educate patients and families about post‑operative care plans, discharge instructions, and pain management strategies
• Review and document pre-operative testing

Skills

• Proven experience in perioperative nursing, OR experience strongly preferred
• Skilled in IV insertion, medication administration (including narcotics), and aseptic technique
• Ability to perform patient assessments
• Familiarity with infection control practices and sterile processing standards
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within healthcare teams and education of patients/families

Qualifications
