Job summary

Koch Energy Services, LLC is seeking a Data Scientist to join our Natural Gas trading team in Houston. You will define and drive how AI, data management, analytics, and tooling empower market analysts and the business.

You will lead cross-functional projects, translate business needs into technical requirements, and develop data pipelines, models, and dashboards to improve decision quality.

Qualifications

• Experience leading cross-functional project teams to deliver on deadlines.
• Experience developing data and analytics solutions using Python or similar.
• Experience working with databases and SQL.
• Ability translate business needs into technical requirements and collaborate with IT/engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and champion a multi-year vision for AI, data, and analytics in trading desk.
• Identify high-value opportunities to apply automation and AI tooling.
• Lead cross-functional project teams and drive delivery from concept to production.
• Serve as liaison between business and IT to translate needs into technical requirements.
• Prototype and build data pipelines, models, dashboards, and AI-enabled tools.
• Establish data quality, governance, and reproducibility standards.
• Train analysts and traders on new capabilities and drive adoption.
